Commodity Watch: Aluminium futures ease on weak demand

New Delhi: Aluminium prices fell to Rs 306.95 per kilogram in futures trade on Tuesday as traders trimmed positions amid muted domestic demand, though firm global trends limited the downside. Aluminium for February delivery slipped 75paise, or 0.24 per cent, to Rs 306.95 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,681 lots.
Copper declines on sluggish demand
Copper prices fell over 1 per cent to Rs 1,183.65 per kilogram in futures trade, weighed down by weak global trends and muted demand from domestic consuming industries. Copper for February delivery fell Rs 14.40, or 1.2 per cent, to Rs 1,183.65 per kilogram in a business turnover of 16,193 lots.
Zinc futures slips on weak trends
Zinc prices slipped Rs 1.65 to Rs 319.50 per kilogram in futures trade amid weak global cues and subdued demand from consuming industries in the spot market. Zinc futures for February delivery fell 0.51 per cent in a turnover of 1,697 lots.
