Commodity Watch: Aluminium futures advance on high turnover

New Delhi: Aluminium prices rose by 40 paise to Rs 265 per kilogram in the domestic futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in November went up 0.15 per cent in a turnover of 1,896 lots. Similarly, the December contract advanced by 15 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 268.20 per kilogram in 1,849 lots.

Zinc futures rise on higher demand

Zinc prices rose Rs 1.90 to Rs 303.85 0.63 per cent higher per kilogram in a turnover of 2,520 lots in futures trade amid a pick up in spot demand. The December contract increased by Rs 2.20, or 0.75 per cent, to Rs 296.90 per kilogram in 1,539 lots.

Copper futures fall on weak trend

Copper future prices traded marginally lower by 30 paise to Rs 1,001.80 per kilogram amid subdued demand and a cautious tone in global markets. Copper futures for the December contract eased 0.03 per cent in a turnover of 5,679 lots.
