Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

New Delhi: Aluminium prices on Tuesday rose 40 paise to Rs 256.35 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in October increased 40 paise or 0.16 per cent to Rs 256.35 per kg 498 lots.

Zinc futures decline on weak demand

Zinc prices on Tuesday fell 0.50 per cent to Rs 278.05 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues from the spot market. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for October delivery traded lower by 50 paise or 0.18 per cent at Rs 278.05 per kg in 652 lots.

Copper futures gain on higher spot demand

Copper futures rose 0.27 per cent to Rs 906.75 per kilogram on Tuesday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for October delivery grew Rs 2.40 or 0.27 per cent to Rs 906.75 per kg in a business turnover of 1,804 lots.
