Aluminium futures gain on higher spot demand

New Delhi: Aluminium prices rose Rs 1.10 to Rs 255.90 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. Aluminium for delivery in October increased 0.43 per cent in 345 lots.

Zinc futures rise on high demand

Zinc prices rose Rs 1.65 to Rs 277.70 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for October delivery traded higher 0.6 per cent in a business turnover of 480 lots. Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.

Copper futures rise on fresh bets

Copper futures rose 0.7 per cent to Rs 910.95 per kilogram on Friday due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for October delivery grew Rs 6.30 or 0.7 per cent to Rs 910.95 per kg in a business turnover of 1,465 lots.
