Aluminium futures advanced on increased demand

New Delhi: Aluminium prices rose by 35 paise to Rs 266.75 per kilogram in the futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

Aluminium for delivery in November increased 0.13 per cent in 1,395 lots. Fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.

Zinc futures rise on high demand

Zinc prices rose 70 paise to Rs 288.05 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand. Zinc contracts for November delivery traded 0.24 per cent higher in a business turnover of 1,298 lots.

Copper futures gain on higher bets

Copper futures rose 0.19 per cent to Rs 1,000.65 per kilogram on Thursday due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for November delivery grew Rs 1.90 in a business turnover of 5,586 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
