The US markets opened with strong gains as Nvidia reported a steady quarter. The Dow soared 117.03 points (0.3%) to 42,215.73, while Nasdaq jumped 74.93 points (0.4%) to 19,175.87. S&P 500 climbed 23.62 points (0.4%) to 5,912.17.

The Federal court blocked President Trump’s “reciprocal tariffs” on imports. It cited that Trump overstepped his authority under emergency economic powers.The Court of International Trade reiterated that the tariffs exceeded what the International Emergency Economic Powers Act

(IEEPA) allows.

Shares of Nvidia jumped 3.2% after the company reported a strong quarter, helping lift Wall Street in early trading. However, buying interest waned over the course of time due to economic uncertainty.

On the Asian markets front, Japan's Nikkei 225 Index went up by 1.9%, while China's Shanghai Composite Index jumped 0.7%. European markets traded in red. The German DAX Index fell by 0.4%. U.K.'s FTSE 100 Index and the French CAC 40 tumbled 0.1%.
