US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan: India-US Partnership Reaches New Heights

The India-US partnership has been highlighted as reaching new heights, particularly in areas like technology and security collaboration. This announcement was made by US NSA Jake Sullivan during a recent press conference at the White House. Sullivan's remarks came in response to concerns about the perceived decline of American leadership globally, especially with the emergence of new alliances like BRICS, which now includes countries like Iran, Egypt, the UAE, and Ethiopia, with Saudi Arabia also contemplating membership.

Despite these shifts, Sullivan reassured reporters that the United States remains strong in global affairs, pointing out recent diplomatic achievements such as NATO's expansion and improved relations with key nations like Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia. He also highlighted the upcoming state visit of the president of Kenya to the United States, underlining its historic significance.

On the issue of China's involvement with Russia’s defence industry, Sullivan mentioned the US's apprehensions. Although there's no direct evidence of China providing military aid to Russia, Sullivan reiterated the US's vigilance regarding China's role in bolstering Russia’s defence capabilities.

Statements on India-US partnership by US national security advisor Jake Sullivan emphasised the multifaceted engagement of the United States in global affairs, stressing the importance of partnerships like that with India and ongoing diplomatic efforts to address a wide range of challenges worldwide.
