UAE Crown Prince Mandates Government Employees To Work Remotely Today

Today, Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Executive Council in the UAE and Crown Prince of Ajman, has directed all government employees to work from home. This decision comes as a result of the unpredictable weather in the region.

The work from home order applies to all government offices in Ajman, with the exception of roles that require in-person presence, as determined by each department's authority.

Abu Dhabi Police have assured that they are fully prepared to handle the challenging weather conditions expected until April 17. They will work closely with other relevant authorities to ensure public safety.

Various government entities, including the Department of Municipalities and Transport, Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, Al Dhafra Municipality, Abu Dhabi Department of Energy, and Al Ain Municipality, have pledged to prioritise community safety and protect lives and property.

Emergency plans have been activated, and additional patrols have been deployed to support safety measures. Precautionary steps include increasing staff in operations rooms to manage potential emergencies effectively.

Both the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority and the Abu Dhabi Police Command advise the public to stay informed about weather updates from official sources, like the National Center of Meteorology. They emphasise safe driving practices, such as adhering to speed limits, avoiding distractions, maintaining safe distances between vehicles, and reducing speed when turning to prevent accidents.

Furthermore, the Department of Energy and energy sector companies are on high alert. The maintenance teams are kept ready to respond promptly to power outages caused by weather changes.
