Several prominent leaders from India Inc., including Reliance Industries' Mukesh Ambani, Tata Group's N Chandrasekaran, JSW Group's Sajjan Jindal, and Aditya Birla Group's Kumar Mangalam Birla, are set to attend the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) annual summit in Davos, Switzerland, starting Monday.

Their participation comes at a critical juncture, as US President Donald Trump's looming tariff threats pose potential challenges for India. Trump is expected to address the summit virtually, with a focus on his economic agenda, including his stance on visas, according to Bloomberg.

The IT sector will have significant representation with TCS CEO K Krithivasan and Wipro Executive Chairman Rishad Premji. The industry is concerned about possible reductions in H-1B visa approvals for Indian tech workers. Any changes to US visa policies could have a major impact on India’s $250 billion IT sector, sparking debate among Indian leaders at the summit.

Start-ups will also be represented by Paytm CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath.

The Ambani family, including Reliance Foundation's Nita Ambani and their children Akash, Anant, and Isha, will also attend the event.

The banking, financial services, and insurance (BFSI) sector will see representation from Axis Bank CEO Amitabh Chaudhry and Bajaj Finserv Chairman Sanjiv Bajaj. Godrej Industries Chairman Nadir Godrej and Essar Group Director Prashant Ruia are among other business leaders attending.

Ruia emphasized the importance of India’s presence, stating that Essar’s participation at the forum aims to showcase its contribution to Prime Minister Modi's vision of a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) and its collaboration with the UK government on clean energy initiatives.

In addition to business leaders, several top Indian government representatives and state chief ministers will be present to promote India as a prime investment destination at the summit.
