Taylor Swift Arrives in California Under Umbrellas Ahead of BFF Selena Gomez’s Wedding

Taylor Swift had the chance of making a rather covert arrival at the wedding venue in Santa Barbara courtesy of her black umbrella cluster, which certainly stirred up some fanfare amongst interested onlookers.

El Encanto is a sprawling estate where Selena Gomez is set to marry music producer Benny Blanco. Rumored to have some dignified engagement in the ceremony itself-with gossip saying flower girl-Taylor Swift was seen alighting from a plane at Santa Barbara airport on Friday afternoon. As she appeared, multiple black umbrellas were thrown up to shield her from view, with only a few glimpses of an elbow in the photos.

An assistant carried off a white box, probably a wedding gift for the couple, and some other luggage after which Taylor got into her awaiting black SUV.

According to Page Six sources, Taylor will be lodging at a private rental near the wedding venue for the sake of her security and privacy, in contrast to other guests who will be put up at the Encanto Hotel. "Her security team believes a private residence is safer and more discreet than a hotel," the insider revealed.

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, who kept their relationship very private starting June 2023 after initially collaborating way back in 2019, announced their relationship in December 2023; the two got engaged in December 2024 and are now preparing for a romantic two-day wedding celebration in Santa Barbara.

Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have almost two decades of friendship between them. They were united during their early stages in the industry in the 2000s, especially when they were both linked to the Jonas Brothers. Since then, the two women have remained close and stood by each other in gyms and through personal moments.
