Samsung has officially started rolling out the One UI 8 Watch update to its Galaxy Watch Ultra models, bringing a range of health-focused tools, interface enhancements, and new customization options. This update, based on Wear OS 6, was first unveiled at Google I/O 2025 alongside Samsung’s latest Galaxy Watch 8 series, and is now available for last year’s premium smartwatch.
What’s New in One UI 8 Watch
- The One UI 8 Watch update introduces advanced health and fitness features, including:
- Vascular Load Monitoring – Provides insights into blood vessel strain during workouts.
- Antioxidant Index – Measures antioxidant levels in the skin, improving overall health tracking.
- Enhanced Sleep Tracking – Offers better analysis of sleep quality.
- Fitness enthusiasts will also benefit from a new Running Coach, which creates personalized training plans, sets specific running goals, and tracks progress through test runs.
UI & Productivity Upgrades
Now Bar: A quick-access feature for tools like stopwatch, camera controls, and customizable shortcuts.
Multi-Info Tiles: Allows easy access to key data directly from the watch’s home screen.
Rollout Details
The Galaxy Watch 8 and Watch 8 Classic come with One UI 8 out of the box.
Galaxy Watch Ultra models are receiving the update this week, along with a new blue color variant preloaded with One UI 8.
Older Galaxy Watch models (series 5 and 7) are expected to receive the update in the coming months.
Samsung’s quick rollout of One UI 8 comes as the company also outpaces competitors by delivering Android 16 to its latest foldables — the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7, launched earlier this month.
