Fans of Red Dead Redemption 2 are in for a treat as Rockstar Games rolls out a limited-time event packed with free downloadable content (DLC) and exclusive in-game rewards. But don’t delay — these freebies are only available for the next 48 hours.
Inspired by the fan-favorite Undead Nightmare expansion from the original Red Dead Redemption (2010), the new event — titled "Strange Tales of the West" — brings an eerie and supernatural twist to the multiplayer world of Red Dead Online.
“Embark upon four new adventures that require steely resolve and courage in the face of the odd, twisted, and downright supernatural,” Rockstar Games announced on July 1 via X (formerly Twitter).
What's Included in the Event?
- Free Expansion-Style Missions: A major content update adds story-driven adventures with supernatural themes.
- Bonus Rewards: Players can earn bonus XP, in-game currency, and free DLC by completing event-specific missions.
- Log-in Reward: Simply logging into Red Dead Online this month grants players the Rebellion Poncho for free.
- Limited-Time Gear: Complete a round of Wildlife Photography to earn the blue Eberhat Coat, but hurry — it's only available until July 7, 2025.
