Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the specifics of his recent meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in Alaska during a phone call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday. A proposed peace plan for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine was the main topic of Putin and Trump's discussions.

Only three days had passed since the well-publicized Alaska summit, which ended without a ceasefire deal. PM Modi reaffirmed India's constant position of supporting communication and diplomacy in order to reach a peaceful conclusion during the conversation.

"Thank my friend, President Putin, for his phone call and for sharing insights on his recent meeting with President Trump in Alaska," Modi wrote on X after the discussion. India has continuously demanded that the conflict in Ukraine be resolved peacefully and supports all initiatives aimed at achieving this goal. I'm excited for our ongoing conversations in the days ahead.

India has continued to engage with all important stakeholders and support international peace initiatives. The discussion on Monday also emphasized New Delhi's diplomatic outreach and role of balance in the face of changing global conditions.
