Pokemon GO Crown Clash Event Guide: All Bonuses, Debuts, Shiny Features, and Top Tips

During the Pokemon GO Crown Clash event, which runs from May 10 to May 18, 2025, players can enjoy various bonuses, new debuts, and special in-game events. Here’s a breakdown:

Trainers will get 2x XP for evolving Pokémon and increased shiny odds for certain Pokémon, including crowned versions of Nidoqueen and Nidoking, along with Slowpoke, Combee, Litleo, and King’s Rock as a possible reward from catching Slowpoke.

The event also introduces new Pokémon, including Kingambit (a Dark/Steel-type), as well as crowned versions of Nidoqueen and Nidoking, which can also appear as shiny.

In the wild, several Pokémon will spawn more frequently, such as Slowpoke, Slakoth, Piplup, Combee, Snivy, Litleo, and Pawniard.

For raid battles, trainers can encounter special Pokémon across different tiers. In 1-Star Raids, you’ll find Sneasel, Klink, and Pawniard, while 3-Star Raids feature crowned Nidoqueen and Nidoking.

Special event-themed Field Research tasks will reward you with encounters with specific Pokémon, such as Piplup or Litleo for catching 10 Pokémon, Sneasel for winning a Raid, crowned Nidoqueen or Nidoking for winning 2 Raids, and Slowpoke, Combee, or Snivy for evolving 2 Pokémon. Powering up 5 Pokémon will reward a Sneasel or Klink encounter.

Additionally, there’s the Crowned Collection Challenge, where completing tasks like catching and evolving Snivy, Piplup, Slakoth, Combee, Slowpoke, and Litleo will reward you with XP, Stardust, and a Pawniard encounter. Trainers at Level 31 and above will also earn one guaranteed Candy XL for evolving Pokémon upon completing the challenge.
