Over 15,000 Telugu people will attend 18th American Telugu Association (ATA) Convention and Youth Conference, which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, on June 7-9, 2024. Madhu Bommineni, President of ATA, announced this at ATA Vedukalu: Business Seminar organised in in collaboration with industry body Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) Telangana at T-Hub in Hyderabad on Thursday.

The business seminar explored the potential for collaboration and growth between the bustling business ecosystems of the Telugu states and the United States, leveraging the existing strategic partnership between India and the US. With the theme "Building Bridges, Boosting Prosperity: Unlocking Opportunities in US-Telugu Trade", the event will delve into several key areas of synergy and action including sustainable development, pharma & life sciences and IT & startups.

On the occasion, Madhu said: "Today, we convene to bring collaboration, share insights, and explore opportunities that transcend geographical boundaries. This is an integral part of ATA Vedukalu, where we engage in various charitable, business, educational, and cultural activities every other year contributing meaningfully to both our homeland and adopted home."

She further said, "These activities serve as a prelude to the ATA Convention. In this two-day grand event, we will conduct cultural, literary, educational, women and youth forums, and host influential businesses and leaders from diverse sectors, facilitating an environment conducive to networking, knowledge exchange, and partnership opportunities. Together, we can forge paths that lead to sustainable development, technological advancements, and mutually beneficial partnerships."

"As we embark on this collective journey towards shared goals, let us emphasise the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and networking," ATA President said, while inviting the people of two Telugu States to actively participate, contribute, and leverage the opportunities presented at this business seminar and the upcoming convention.

ATA is one of the most prominent representative groups of Indian Americans of Telugu origin, formed in 1990. Telugu Americans are residents of the United States of America who are of Telugu linguistic origin from India, mainly from the Indian states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and also include neighboring states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, and Maharashtra.
