NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA), a leading player in the AI and semiconductor space, continues to attract strong attention from Wall Street analysts. On May 27, Piper Sandler reiterated its “Overweight” rating on NVDA and set a price target of $150, reinforcing investor confidence in the tech giant ahead of its quarterly earnings release.

Piper Sandler analyst Harsh Kumar noted that while the stock may see flat or downward movement leading up to earnings, investors should remain optimistic. Near-term concerns include macroeconomic uncertainties, the ongoing ban on H20 chips, and limited visibility in the April quarter's revenue. However, Kumar emphasized that these challenges are expected to ease in the second half of the year.

Adding to future potential, NVIDIA is reportedly preparing a new China-specific chip, projected to launch by the end of the July quarter. This development could play a key role in shaping the company's guidance and global positioning.

Despite the current headwinds, Piper Sandler remains bullish. The firm expects a rebound in the second half of 2025, fueled by strong capital expenditure in high-performance computing (HPC) and improving global economic conditions.

“We advise investors to weather the uncertainty and stay long the stock, as this is likely the last wave of negative news for NVDA this year. We reiterate our Overweight rating,” said Kumar.

NVIDIA currently ranks #2 on the list of top AI stocks gaining Wall Street’s attention. While NVDA remains a cornerstone AI stock, analysts suggest exploring other emerging AI companies that could offer even higher upside potential with lower risk.
