Production is currently underway for the second season of the popular Korean survival horror series "All of Us Are Dead," which Netflix has officially announced will return. Moving from the hallways of Hyosan High to a university campus in Seoul, the show is poised to deliver a new chapter of blood-soaked drama after enthralling a global audience in 2022.

Both New Faces and Returning Cast

Numerous beloved characters are scheduled to make a comeback, including:

  • Ji-hu Park as Nam On-jo
  • As Lee Cheong-san, Yoon Chan-young
  • As Choi Nam-ra, Cho Yi-hyun
  • As Lee Su-hyeok, Lomon

After the Hyosan outbreak, the story resumes with On-jo attempting to start over at university until another wave of virus devastates everything once more.

The following new characters are joining the cast:

  • Lee Min-jae as Yong Ma-ru (Weak Hero: Class 2)
  • As So Ju-ran in Squid Game Season 2, Kim Si-eun
  • Lee Jong-ah as Yoon Ga-i
  • Roh Jae-won (Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3) plays Han Doo-seok, a team leader for the National Intelligence Service who has a personal interest in the crisis that is developing.

Plot Tease: Seoul's Next Horror

Even if the initial survivors are still physically and emotionally scarred by Hyosan, the fight is far from over. Seoul is hit by a fresh zombie outbreak as On-jo adjusts to her new existence, putting both authorities and students in yet another frantic fight for survival.

Return of the Creative Team

The original creative crew of the series is back together:

  • Returning as directors are Kim Nam-su and Lee JQ (Daily Dose of Sunshine).
  • The screenwriter Chun Sung-il (King the Land) is back.

The first season, which was based on Joo Dong-geun's webtoon, was a smash sensation because it combined social satire, teen drama, and dramatic horror. It became one of Netflix's most-watched non-English language shows ever, swiftly rising into the Top 10 in more than 90 countries.

The goal of Season 2 is to continue that momentum by introducing more complex character arcs, expansive plots, and intense zombie horror.
