In October, football icon Lionel Messi announced the tournament on Instagram, calling it a “very special youth football event” aimed at showcasing the next generation of global football talent.
The tournament is being played from December 9 to 14, 2025, at Chase Stadium, the home ground of Inter Miami.
Eight U16 teams are divided into two groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the knockout stages.
