Rising star Lee Jun Young, known for his powerful role in Weak Hero Class 2, is set to headline the upcoming romantic comedy series Who Are You alongside actress Cha Joo Young. The pairing promises fresh on-screen chemistry and high expectations from fans and critics alike.
On June 2, Hankook Ilbo confirmed that Lee Jun Young has officially signed on to the project, following a string of successful dramas including Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale (2024), Weak Hero Class 2 (2025), and Pump Up the Healthy Love (2025). With this new role, Lee Jun Young aims to build on his growing momentum in the acting world.
About Who Are You
Who Are You tells the story of Lee Tae Joo, a mysterious black agent struggling with memory loss, and Yoo Ah Rin, a beloved national fairy nursing a broken heart. Together, they embark on a heartfelt journey to recover their lost memories—and possibly find love in the process. Lee Jun Young will portray Lee Tae Joo, while Cha Joo Young will play Yoo Ah Rin, making this one of the most anticipated rom-com duos of the year.
Directed by Myung Hyun Woo, known for Channel A’s Check In Hanyang, the series promises a fresh and vibrant take on romance. Although the release date is yet to be announced, Who Are You is expected to premiere next year.
About Lee Jun Young
Lee Jun Young began his career as a member of the boy band U-KISS in 2014 before transitioning to acting with his debut in tvN’s Avengers Social Club (2017). Since then, he has showcased his versatility in dramas such as Goodbye to Goodbye, Good Casting, DP, and Mask Girl, as well as films like Moral Sense and The Wild West.
In 2025 alone, Lee Jun Young has gained global recognition for his roles in Netflix’s When Life Gives You Tangerines alongside IU, and Weak Hero Class 2. Currently, he stars in KBS2’s 24 Hour Health Club, continuing to impress audiences as an idol-turned-actor.
