Iran Fires New Missiles at Israel as U.S. Stands Firm on War Policy amid Broader Middle East Escalation

Iran launched new missile attacks on Israel overnight. The target is Tel Aviv and a part of its retaliation in the escalating conflict. Iran also confirmed the deaths of Ali Larijani, a prime wartime security figure, and Gholamreza Soleimani, head of its Basij paramilitary force, subsequent new strikes. The data shared on Tuesday, Iranian authorities confirmed their deaths.

Abbas Araghchi, Iran's foreign minister, shared Al Jazeera on Tuesday that the killings would not weaken Iran's leadership, saying that Iran has "a strong political structure with established economic, political, and social institutions."

In Iran Israel conflict escalation, Israel also struck central Beirut overnight and result into killing of 10 people. Israel's military said the main target was Hezbollah militants and installations.

According to U.S. Central Command, the US military dropped about 5,000-pound deep-penetrator bombs along Iran’s coast near the Strait of Hormuz. It is about to take out hardened sites having anti-ship cruise missiles.

Earlier, President Trump lashed out at NATO allies over their unwillingness to assist U.S. efforts in Iran. The president said the U.S. had previously decimated Iran’s navy and air force and no longer required support from Japan, Australia, NATO, or South Korea.

Israel also added that it killed Iran’s security chief and the head of its Basij paramilitary force in strikes. It erased the most significant figures in the regime since Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed on the first day of the war.

Middle East war live updates have reported about 1,300 killed in Iran, 922 killed in Lebanon and 16 in Israel. The data is shared since the war began on Feb. 28. U.S. Central Command has said 13 U.S. service members have been killed and more than 200 troops wounded.
