India sends 15 tonnes of food and relief supplies to quake-hit Kunar, Afghanistan, as death toll crosses 800.

Following a strong earthquake that killed over 800 people and injured thousands more in the eastern province of Kunar, India has hurried humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
In a conversation with Afghanistan's foreign minister, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar expressed condolences and promised India's assistance in the crisis. The Indian Embassy in Kabul has immediately sent 15 tonnes of food supplies to Kunar, one of the most affected areas.
Additional shipments of relief supplies, such as tents, medications, and basic necessities, will arrive in the days ahead, according to the Ministry of External Affairs.
The aid follows the Taliban-led Afghan government's urgent request for international assistance, as local authorities are finding it difficult to handle the extensive damage. Rescue operations continue, with the death toll expected to rise further.
