GTA Online Halloween 2025 Update: ‘Slasher Mode,’ Zombie Survival, Masks, and More

Rockstar Games has kicked off its Halloween 2025 event in GTA Online, running throughout October. The seasonal update introduces the new Slasher mode aboard the Ramius submarine, returns fan-favorite Halloween Adversary Modes, and features limited-time zombie survival challenges across Cayo Perico and Ludendorff Cemetery. Players can also unlock exclusive Halloween-themed masks, vehicles, and other rewards via weekly challenges.

Slasher Modes

The new Ramius Submarine Slasher mode starts with a stalker armed with a Shotgun while hunted players navigate with Flashlights. After three minutes, hunted players receive Shotguns, and the stalker role rotates. This mode will be featured from October 16–22, offering 2X GTA$ and RP rewards. Returning Adversary Modes include Beast vs. Slasher (Oct 2–8), Judgement Day (Oct 9–15), Condemned (Oct 23–29), and Slasher repeats (Oct 30–Nov 5). All modes include double rewards, stacking up to 4X for GTA Plus members.

Zombie Survival Events

Zombie survival events are back this Halloween. Cayo Perico Survival runs from October 2–8 with 2X GTA$ and RP, while Ludendorff Cemetery Survival returns from October 23–Nov 5 with triple rewards. Players will face waves of zombies, including juggernauts, armored conquistadors, splitters, possessed animals, and zombie DJs. Using the Survival Creator tool, players can add Island Zombie Shamblers and Runners to custom maps for even more challenges.

Rewards, Masks, and Vehicles

Players can enjoy free Halloween masks and discounted spooky vehicles, including the LCC Sanctus (Motorcycle), Albany Lurcher (Muscle), Albany Franken Stange (Sports Classic), and Chariot Romero Hearse (Sedan). The Vinewood Undead Collection, available through weekly challenges starting October 2, offers rewards such as the Slasher Clown Outfit, Please Stop Me Mask, Vinewood Zombie Tee, and Skulls livery for the Mammoth Avenger.

Weekly challenges include: surviving waves for GTA$200,000 and a Brown Vintage Zombie Mask (Oct 2–8); completing three taxi fares for GTA$200,000 and a Weathered Vintage Mummy Mask (Oct 9–15); winning one Adversary Mode for GTA$200,000 and a Brown Vintage Werewolf Mask (Oct 16–22); surviving four waves for GTA$200,000 and a Gray Jumping Spider Mask (Oct 23–29); and winning one Adversary Mode for GTA$200,000 and a Gray Hooded Skull Mask (Oct 30–Nov 5).

Community Events and Extras

The update also brings weekly community-created jobs, including haunted Deathmatches, spooky racetracks, and large-scale obstacle courses. Players can witness UFO sightings and Ghost investigations across Los Santos, and collect Jack O’Lanterns throughout October to earn bonus GTA$.
