With just days to go for the launch of the highly anticipated Pixel 10 series, Google has rolled out a new teaser that not only reveals the phone’s sleek design but also takes a subtle jab at Apple. The 30-second teaser mocks Apple’s repeated delays in rolling out advanced AI features for Siri, which were first promised over a year ago.
In the video, Google flaunts the Pixel 10 in a stunning new Moonstone finish while a voiceover cheekily says, “If you buy a new phone because of a feature that’s coming soon, but it’s been coming soon for a full year... You could change your definition of soon. Or you could just change your phone.”
The teaser indirectly targets Apple, which had introduced its next-gen Siri AI features at WWDC 2024. These enhancements — including personal context, onscreen awareness, and cross-app actions — were expected to ship with iOS 18.4 for iPhone 16 models. However, Apple recently admitted the features weren’t ready and have now pushed the rollout to 2026, possibly with iOS 26.
This delay has sparked frustration among iPhone users, giving Google the perfect opportunity to market its AI-forward Pixel 10 series with the tagline: “Ask more of your phone.”
While Apple remains vague about when users can actually expect the much-hyped Siri upgrade, Google is using this moment to position the Pixel 10 as a smarter, more reliable alternative. The teaser also encourages users to make the switch from iPhone to Pixel, promising a more advanced AI experience from day one.
