The Australian festival shooting at the end of an Australian year of skyhigh antisemitism was all these and more throughout the world, particularly directed toward the Jewish community. In fact, for leaders of Israel and observers, the tragedy hardly underscored the need for a strong and secure Jewish state.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as friends and relatives of Cpl. Ran Gvili gather in the city for the Hanukkah candle-lighting ceremony, as the last hostage put to death by the terrorists of Gaza, explained the pledges and realized that we never forget our heroes when they are gone.

He promised the captive's parents: "We will bring back Rani, just as we brought back 254 of our 255 captives," seeking to bring comfort and hope to the shattered families.

"This institution is supplying something that is crucial for the society," Netanyahu repeated to police officers at the National Police College, hinting at doubts being spread within Israeli society about the ability to recover captives.

"There are those who did not believe," he said. "l and my colleagues in the cabinet did. They stated, "It will require a miracle." I countered, "These people are the miracles." God helps people to help themselves.

The tragic events in Sydney and the ongoing issues in Gaza show that Jewish communities worldwide are potentially at risk, and they further emphasize the importance of Israel operation and work to save its people and retrieve its hostages. Netanyahu's words have taken on a deeper meaning as an appeal for tenacity, faith, and coherence through the global atmosphere of fear and uncertainty.
