Trump expressed support for Apple India manufacturing, as long as it mainly caters to Indian
consumers. India has proposed eliminating all tariff barriers against the United States, he stated.

own affairs after meeting with US business leaders from Qatar.
Apple assured the Indian government through senior officials that the company intends to
maintain its current investment strategy in India because it considers India an important region
for manufacturing expansion.
At this moment Trump made remarks while Cook publicly revealed that Apple intends to
manufacture most US-India trade relations during the June quarter because of ongoing trade
issues with China. Apple plans to shift a quarter of its iPhone India manufacturing hub over
the next few years as part of its strategy to reduce dependency on China which remains the
central hub of its production capabilities.
Following Cook’s statement made during an investor meeting after financial results disclosure
earlier this month significant progress emerged as US and China resolved their tariff dispute
through an Apple expansion plans.
No one knows yet how Apple’s supply chains will respond to a trade tensions US-China that
provides substantial tariff relief for Beijing. Experts believe China's electronics sector benefits
from stronger technological capabilities and more skilled workers compared to India.
