Brazilian Influencer Survives After Being Stabbed Nine Times on Livestream by Ex-Boyfriend

Brazilian influencer Luna Ambrozevicius Abrahao, 22, suffered nine stab wounds during a livestream earlier this week, just after she made public the breakup with her partner, Alex Olievira.

Unsettling live footage of the incident revealed a big knife with a shattered blade and blood gushing from her wounds. Emergency services were promptly notified by her supporters, and Abrahao was taken to the hospital for urgent surgery.

Luna Abrahao is currently in the hospital recuperating from the vicious attack. "Surviving 10 stabs wasn't just a miracle, it was a revival," she wrote in a recent Instagram post to her fans. In the middle of suffering, anxiety, and doubt, my tiny Serena gave me courage. I knew I had to live for her when she crossed my mind, even if those were the darkest hours of my life.

Luna's 4-year-old daughter, Serena, is also Olievira's child.

Lawsuits and Manhunts

Olievira left the site after the attack and is presently being sought by law enforcement. He is charged with domestic abuse and attempted murder. Neighbors identified the couple's frequent arguments as a persistent issue, according to investigations.

This horrific incident has brought attention once more to worries about the safety of influencers, especially women, who are increasingly the targets of violent crimes.

Violence Against Content Creators Is Increasing

In a concerning trend of violent attacks on internet producers, Abrahao's incident is the most recent. An attacker posing as a delivery guy had shot Colombian content producer Maria Jose Estupinan many times at her home just days earlier. Mexican influencer Valeria Marquez was shot and killed in a different incident while livestreaming from her TikTok beauty parlor.
