San Diego celebrated July 4 with Big Bay Boom, the West Coast’s largest fireworks show, lighting up the bay with music-synced fireworks and festive cheer.
As the United States marked its 249th Independence Day, San Diego dazzled once again with the Big Bay Boom, the largest Fourth of July fireworks display on the West Coast.
Organized by the Port of San Diego in collaboration with local government and community partners, the Big Bay Boom has become a cherished annual tradition. The celebration was broadcast live across California by Nexstar Media Group on FOX 5 (San Diego), KTLA (Los Angeles), and KGPE (Fresno), and streamed online and on mobile apps.

A Sky Full of Light and Music
The fireworks launched from four barges stationed across San Diego Bay, creating a synchronized spectacle choreographed to music. Hundreds of thousands of spectators gathered along the waterfront, aboard boats, and at popular viewing spots throughout the city to witness the vibrant show lighting up the summer sky.
