4.6 magnitude earthquake struck Pakistan on Monday, just days after a 4.0 magnitude tremor was recorded over the weekend. The quake had a shallow depth of 10 kilometres, increasing the potential for surface-level impact.

According to the National Centre for Seismology, the earthquake was located at a latitude of 29.12°N and a longitude of 67.26°E.

Seismic activity in the region has been persistent, with experts noting that shallow earthquakes — those occurring less than 70 km below the surface — can cause significant damage due to the short distance seismic waves travel. At just 10 km deep, Monday's quake likely resulted in intense shaking near the epicentre.

No casualties or damages have been reported so far.
