3,000+ US troops killed or injured in just one week of war, sharply contradicting official American figures - Iran claims

Press TV, an organisation affiliated with Iran’s government, reported Tuesday that at least 200 American soldiers were killed and more than 3,000 wounded in the first week of the Iran-U.S. war. It speaks about the Iranian official figures that sharply challenge official U.S. military statements. From February 28, from the day the war between the two countries started, both countries claim to have inflicted damage on each other's weaponry and military.

The Press TV report said Iran was offered an assessment of American losses, both human and material, through extra-regional sources.

The report shared hours before the US dropped 5,000-pound “buster bombs” on Iranian missile sites near the ‘Strait of Hormuz’. This strategic waterway, key for global oil transit, has been blocked for loads of ships since the war began.

The official Iranian intelligence also claimed the number of casualties to the US military, reportedly, also said that there was a noteworthy decrease in the defence stockpile of the US and Israel. The condition is called “very serious”.

Iran’s official told Press TV that more than 200 U.S. military personnel were killed in the first week of the US vs Iran conflict 2026. They also claim that the U.S. lost 150 missile launch platforms, 23 Patriot air-defence systems and 37 aircraft and helicopters. These figures, Tehran says, contradict U.S. accounts.

On the other hand, Trump in his speech added, "Militarily, we've essentially--as far as I'm concerned--we've essentially defeated Iran. I guess they can have a little bit of a fight back, but not much. Not much. We've taken out their air forces, as you know. We've taken out their air defence. They have no air defence whatsoever".
