Vizag Port holds traders' meet at Guntur to lure exim cargo

Vijayawada: Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) in association with AP Chamber of Commerce organised a trade meet at Guntur on Friday.

​Chairing the meet VPA Deputy Chairman Durgesh Kumar Dubey called upon the prominent importers and exporters of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce to make use of the opportunity available and explained how they will be benefited by routing cargo to oversees destinations as well as domestic through the Port of Visakhapatnam.

Traffic Manager B. Ratna Sekhar made a presentation of the various developmental and infrastructure available in Vizag Port like berths capacity, cargo profile, handling and storage facilities, rail and road connectivity, key performance indicators, traffic handled, green port initiatives and sustainability and cruise terminal facility.

M. Angamuthu in his message conveyed conveyed his wishes to the AP Chamber of Commerce and informed that trading through Vizag Port will boost the Andhra Pradesh business in the fields of the tobacco, chillies, textile and cotton.
