Traders discuss at open house on achieving $1 trillion exports by 2030

An open house trade meet by exporters and importers was organised here to create a forum and address issues and concerns being faced by the trade and industry and to support the Government of India objective to reach $1 trillion export–driven economy in 2030.

Visakhapatnam An open house trade meet by exporters and importers was organised here to create a forum and address issues and concerns being faced by the trade and industry and to support the Government of India objective to reach $1 trillion export–driven economy in 2030.

The open house was organised by Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) in association with Visakhapatnam Port Authority to discuss about GST and other issues and ways and means on how to achieve the export target.

FAPCCI president Karunendra S. Jasti apprised about their activities and role in the development of Exim fraternity in the State. He also informed about the recent MoU signed between FAPCCI & Thai Chambers of Commerce and requested all the officials to make the business cost effectively with the simplified procedure and proposed to create an app which will help the trade and industry community.

VPA Chairman K. Rama Mohana Rao said that everything is interdependent and interlinked in the digital world and informed about the new concept of portlord model similar to landlord model, where it is giving utmost importance to environment and to make the city pollution free.

Speaking at the meeting, KVSRK Kishore, an IRTS officer from Container Corporation of India said that the CONCOR is keen on making rail connectivity from Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad hassle-free for easing the cargo movement.

Commissioner, GST MRR Reddy briefed about the GST claim procedure and said that acknowledgement will be issued within 15 days from the date of application for refund. He mentioned about GST Seva Kendra to offer the services and resolve the problems.
