Jio surpassed BSNL to become the country's largest fixed broadband provider

Government-owned telco Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new prepaid plan at Rs 447. The plan offers 100GB of high-speed data without any speed restriction. The combo plan also offers 100 SMS per day with free BSNL tunes and Eros Now entertainment services.

The freebies for 60 days in the new BSNL prepaid combo at Rs 447. Meanwhile, BSNL is also revamping short-term vouchers priced at Rs 247 and prepaid plan voucher priced at Rs 1999. The government telco is removing daily usage limits in these two vouchers. Customers can get access to 50GB high-speed data for 30 days while the plan voucher priced at Rs 1999 offers 500GB data.

BSNL launched the Rs 447 prepaid plan shortly after private telcos Jio, Airtel and Vi launched no daily data limit plans in June with 60 days validity. While Jio and Vi offer plans at Rs 447, Airtel offers a prepaid plan at Rs 456.

BSNL has also extended the validity of its Rs 699 promotional plan again. The prepaid plan which has seen many extensions in the past has now been extended till September 2021. BSNL offers 0.5GB daily high-speed data with the plan after which the speed will be reduced to 80 Kbps. The plan is ideal for users who want to make calls as it offers unlimited voice calls and 100SMS per day without any FUP restrictions with a long validity period of 180 days till the end of September after which the validity will again be reduced to 160 days. The telco also offers free PRBT or BSNL Tunes for the first 60 days.
