Airtel looking to onboard strategic investor
New Delhi, July 2: Telecom giant Bharti Airtel on Friday announced launch of its new payment plan namely Airtel Black,a one-stop solutions, for its customers who wish to integrate their mobile services, broadband and DTH services under one bill.
According to the company, such a plan, customizing different broadband Airtel services under one bill, is first of its kind in the country. Along with this, Airtel has also announced slew of new offerings for its post-paid consumers such as one Customer Care number with a dedicated team of relationship managers, and priority resolution of faults and issues.
The company announced four different bundle plans starting from Rs. 2099, under which a customer can avail 3 mobile connections, 1 fibre connection and 1 DTH connection to a minimum of Rs. 998 with 2 mobile connections and 1 DTH. Airtel said that its customers may avail zero-switching and installation costs coupled with free service visits for life or if they choose to pay Rs. 1500 security deposit they can upgrade to Xstream Set-Top Box which gives access to satellite content and OTT services on television screens.
Speaking at the launch, it was announced, "There are two kinds of plans. One is the power of the flexibility at the hands of the customers to create their own plans and choose from their market operating plans. And those customers who do not want to spend time understanding the details of the plan, we've made it convenient for them by offering these four bundled fixed plans which offers recurring savings to our customers month after month."
The newly announced bundled under Airtel Black were launched on June 2 in the market in over 425 cities in India. The bundles also include plan at Rs. 1598 per month, which consists of a fibre connection and two mobile connections at but will not DTH services in this, the other plan being at Rs. 1349 which offers three telecom subscriptions and one DTH connection on a monthly basis.
