Xiaomi has expanded its tablet lineup in India with the launch of the Redmi Pad 2, a feature-rich device tailored for entertainment, learning, and productivity. The tablet combines a vivid 11-inch display, a powerful processor, and native AI support, making it a standout offering in its price segment.
Key Features and Specifications
The Redmi Pad 2 features an 11-inch 2.5K LCD display (2560 x 1600 pixels) with a 90Hz refresh rate, 10-bit color depth, and 600 nits peak brightness. It’s TÜV Rheinland certified for eye protection and includes wet-touch technology, enabling smooth operation even with damp fingers. The tablet is sleek at just 7.36mm thickness and weighs 510 grams, available in blue and grey color variants.
Powering the device is the 6nm MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra SoC, paired with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. It runs on Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, offering a clean UI and integration with Google’s Gemini AI tools.
One of the biggest highlights is that the Redmi Pad 2 is the first tablet in India to launch with native support for Google's Circle to Search, allowing users to instantly search anything on-screen using a simple gesture.
