RINL delivers first consignment for AP's poor men housing scheme

Visakhapatnam Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant has delivered the first consignment of steel for construction of poor men's housing by the Andhra Pradesh Government.
The navratna company listed for disinvestment by the Central Government sent Vizag Steel after receiving an order for the supply of around 2000 MT as a first consignment.
AP Housing Corporation Limited, placed its first order for its steel requirement for the use in the Government AP's prestigious project of housing named "Navaratnalu- Pedalandiriki Illu."
The truck carrying the first consignment of Vizag Steel products was flagged off from RINL stockyard at Vijayawada. RINL officials handed over the consignment of steel to the State Government officials at Denduluru.
DK Mohanty, CMD (Additional Charge) said, "It's a great moment to cherish and it is just the beginning of RINL's share in this prestigious project of AP, which will build more than 30 k lakh houses in next few years in two phases of 15 lakhs each requiring more than 7 lakhs tonnes of steel in each phase. RINL is aiming for major share in this project. "
