RINL can grow into 30 to 40MT company, says CMD
RINL has the capability to grow further and further to achieve 30 to 40 million tonne (MT) capacity in future, RINL CMD Atul Bhatt said while inaugurating a 3-day ‘competency development’ program for young managers of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant recently.
Visakhapatnam: RINL has the capability to grow further and further to achieve 30 to 40 million tonne (MT) capacity in future, RINL CMD Atul Bhatt said while inaugurating a 3-day 'competency development' program for young managers of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant recently.
He stressed that the young managers need to focus on self development and also benefit the organisation to stand in the global competition.
Bhatt explained about the present steel scenario and its importance, the need and demand of raw materials and uncertainty in present market conditions. He said that the organisation needs the change which is driven by young managers. DK Mohanty, Director (Commercial), while addressing the young managers, highlighted the footprint of RINL in the international market by achieving sales of 1.3 MT during last year. He recalled the Indian steel production which was 10 MT during 1980 and it has geared up to 118MT during 2020. He appreciated the Training Department and HR for initiating competency development to Young managers of RINL.
AK Saxena, Director (Operations) said that RINL is performing well during the last two years. He praised the contributions of young managers in critical achievements like stabilization of Battery-5, use of lime in sinter plant, sinter machines stabilization, rolling of new products in rolling mills.
