RINL achieves several milestones in February
Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, continued its impressive tempo on the production front by registering best-ever performance in February.

Visakhapatnam: Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, continued its impressive tempo on the production front by registering best-ever performance in February. Some of the performance highlights include an average hot metal production of 15,004 tonnes/day in February, which was the best performance for any month since inception from any two Blast Furnaces and the production of a hot metal of 7,571 tonnes an average per day from BF-1 is the best performances for any month since inception.
Achievement of a BF productivity of 2.24 (of hot metal) /day/cum (BF-one and two together) and BF productivity of 2.26 per day/cum by BF-one during February was yet another fest performance achieved for any month.
Hot metal production of 4,20,100 tonnes from BF -one and two together, 2.12 lakh tonnes from BF-one and 2,08,100 tonnes from BF-two achieved during February was also the best achieved for any February.
Production of 91,356 tonnes of wire rods from Wire Rod Mill-one, 53,453 tonnes of SBM products from SBM, 56,722 tonnes of wire rods from Wire Rod Mill-two and 48,853 tonnes of structurals from Structural Mill during February was the best since inception.
RINL registered yet another record by producing 1,59,028 tonnes of finished steel from expansion units and 3,77,489 tonnes of total finished steel during February, which were also records.
