Participants of ATAL IDEA Lab FDP make idea & prototype to help Indian Army

Pune, Dec 24: Idea and prototype were made during the week-long ATAL IDEA Lab FDP with a motivation to help Indian Defence Army. The FDP has given a way ahead to setup IDEA Labs at the sponsored universities.
The winning project has an objective to identify friend and foe. The prototype has used PCB designing with a 360 degree rotation sensor camera installed over thePCB board. It will capture the image using object identification based upon the machine learning technique.
DY Patil International University (DYPIU) organized a week-long ATAL IDALab Faculty Development Program (FDP) sponsored by AICTE uniquely designed and sponsored to only IDEA Lab associated institutions/universities around India under the scheme of National Education Policy 2020 on December 16-22.
On the concluding day, Dr Neeraj Saxena, Advisor, Policy and Academic Planning Bureau (AICTE), visited and interacted with the participants. The participants had joined from IDEA Lab sponsored universities from all across the country.
To match the advancement of the IDEA Lab, sessions were included from several fields like Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Communication and Artificial Intelligence. IDEA Lab GURUS participated in the competition actively and winning project titled as "Soldroid".
Participants learnt about seven pillars of Electronics System Design (ESD) during the programme which was held under the supervision of AICTE IDEA Lab chairman and the DYPIU Vice Chancellor, Prof Prabhat Ranjan. The programme was conducted by Dr Niharika Singh, Programme Coordinator and Yudhishtir Raut, Programme Coordinator with the DYPIU FDP team.
