NTPC Simhadri conducts mock drill

Visakhapatnam Onsite emergency mock drill was conducted by NTPC Simhadri on Tuesday to know the emergency preparedness, system functioning and coordination between various emergency teams and departments like NDRF, CISF Fire/Security .Onsite emergency mock drill was conducted by NTPC Simhadri on Tuesday to know the emergency preparedness, system functioning and coordination between various emergency teams and departments like NDRF, CISF Fire/Security.

In the exercise, mutual aid scheme members RINL Vizag Steel Plant and Hinduja National Power Company were involved.

The mock drill started by simulating manual call point as partial collapse of a building due to natural calamity resulting in trapping of victims inside the building. CISF Fire and Security along with the NDRF team were able to effectively identify the trapped victims timely and rescued six persons along with the help of squad.

Among others, Sanjay Kumar Sinha, (Head of Project, Simhadri) and DP Patra (GM, O&M) addressed.
