NTPC Simhadri celebrates silver jubilee

Visakhapatnam NTPC-Simhadri Super Thermal Power Plant, a coal-based power plant located on the outskirts of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, celebrated its silver jubilee foundation day in a befitting manner on Friday.

The power plant is one of the coal-fired power plants of NTPC, a Government of India company. The company, based in the eastern region of Visakhapatnam, has completed 25 springs in the power generation sector. Simhadri Raising Day was celebrated on Friday on this occasion.

The celebration started in the morning by hoisting of the NTPC flag in front of the administrative building longue and addressed by the Group General Manager G.C. Choukse in the presence of employees. In his address, he highlighted the four decade long glorious history of the organisation, and the journey till 69,134.20 MW.

GGM congratulated the employees for their impressive performance and Simhadri station achieving 2021-2022 MOU targets and asked them to work hard with renewed vigour to achieve all the milestones set for 2022-2023.
