NRDC, APIS hold workshop on IPR

NRDC, APIS hold workshop on IPR

Visakhapatnam National Research Development Corporation (NRDC) celebrated “Rashtriya Boudhik Sampada Mahotsav” under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) by conducting its fourth workshop on “Intellectual Property Rights” in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS) at Innovation Valley here on Friday.

The workshop highlighted the importance of IPR as a strategic business tool to enhance industrial competitiveness across the world. It targeted diverse stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem such as industries, MSME, artisans, researchers and academia. The national IPR festival started with an address by Dr B K Sahu, Senior Regional Manager, NRDC who briefed about the objective of the workshop to create greater understanding of the subject matter of IPR in creating an innovative ecosystem in bringing technologies from lab to market. Among others, Surinder Pal Singh, Joint Secretary, DSIR, MoST; Cmde Amit Rastogi (retd), CMD of NRDC; T V Kattimani, Vice Chancellor, Central Tribal University, AP; Anil Kumar Tentu, CEO, APIS; J Srinivas Raju, convener, CII, AP; Vimal Kumar Varun, CTO & Head, DSIR, MoST and other senior officials of the Government of India and State participated. Visakhapatnam Autonagar Industries Association led by Dr Panduranga Prasad, president and members and other stakeholders from industries, MSMEs and startups attended.
