The Top Italian Wines roadshow by Gambero Rosso concluded its Mumbai edition on an exciting note, leaving an indelible mark on the city’s wine enthusiasts and professionals. Held at the Jio World Convention Centre on May 23 this year, the event welcomed over 50 Italian wine producers, showcasing the unparalleled heritage and innovation of Italy’s wine industry.

The Indian wine market is poised for robust growth, with projections estimating a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.3 per cent from 2025 to 2033. Factors contributing to this growth include rising disposable incomes, increased urbanisation, and expanding wine tourism.

In a top 5 of imports in 2024, India’s wine importers choose wines from Australia, France, Italy, Spain and Chile.

“Our successful return to India, marked by over 323 attendees, signals a new era of wine appreciation and knowledge among Indian professionals and connoisseurs. The event celebrated the timeless legacy of Italian winemaking while opening new doors for partnership and growth,” stated Marco Sabellico, Editor-in-Chief, Vini d’Italia Guide.
