Hyderabad: The three-day Industrial Innovation and Technology Expo-2023 being organised by the Federation of Telangana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) is aimed at helping MSMEs gain maximum exposure, organisers say. The expo kicked in Hyderabad’s Hitex on Wednesday

The objective of the expo is to empower MSMEs through networking and other means. It will also help them to know about technologies and to leverage the innovative technology.

The expo has over 130 stalls from different sectors, like renewable energy, electric vehicles, food processing companies, printing, real estate, electrical product manufacturers, packaging companies, engineering products for industries, and consumer products.

“The expo was conceptualised about three months back and we are doing exceedingly well. Being an MSME body, we always support MSMEs and innovations in the technology that benefit them. The 130 stalls setup in the inaugural expo were mostly by MEMEs, small entrepreneurs, and few big industries,” Anil Agarwal, President, FTCCI, told Bizz Buzz.

“Countries like Belgium and Mauritius have set up their own stalls. We also have a stall from Ras Al Khaimah, an emirate of UAE. The expo also has 15 Vietnam delegates who want to have B2B tie-ups with the Indian MSMEs,” he added.

The stalls setup by various companies and MSMEs in the expo showcased their products. The stall representatives also want to network with other manufactures and industrialists.

For instance, Switch, an Ahmedabad-based company, has setup the stall in the expo to showcase lightweight bicycles made of aluminium which can be carried anywhere easily by folding them. “We have recently started selling bicycles in Hyderabad, so the expo will be useful to bring awareness about our products to the consumers. We also to here add more dealers and we will shortlist them,” said Dhairya Thakkur, Head Marketing, South India, Switch.

The participants in the expo are enthusiastic to check the stalls and to look at products that are on display.

“We thank FTCCI for giving us a chance to explore MSMEs in India. We came here to know about agriculture machinery and equipment. I can see lot of companies here with good ideas. In one stall, I have seen the disposable bag. Though price is double compared to regular bag, it’s environmental-friendly one. It’s a nice product. Our group members are also very impressed with the technology shown in the expo,” said TranZeoy, a Vietnam delegate.

The most participants are manufactures and industrialists who came for expo to know latest technologies used in their domain and other innovative products that can be used in their companies.

“We are manufacturers of compostable plastic products which can be used for packaging. So, we wanted to look around other packaging industries and at the same time looking for new technologies for our company. Overall, it is good to see new products and to get awareness about them,” Shariff, founder and MD, AICMT.

Another participant, Gautham, said, “Expo is good but there should grouping of the stalls of each sector. Without that, it is taking lot of time for us to locate stalls that we are looking for apart from industrial products, it is good to see some stalls having some organic foods and consumer products.”
