KC Das to hold addl charge as RINL CMD

Visakhapatnam RASHTRIYA Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) Director (Personnel) KC Das will hold the additional charge as the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the company from June 1.
The post fell vacant on Monday following the retirement of PK Rath on reaching the age of superannuation. When contacted, Das told Bizz Buzz that his top priority would be production, marketing and boosting the morale of the employees in unprecedented times especially during the Covid-19 pandemic and other issues. He said marketing overseas by laying emphasis on exports and quality parameters would be another focus area.
An order issued by the Ministry of Steel on Monday, said that with the approval of the competent authority, the additional charge of the post of CMD is assigned to Das, Director of Personnel, from June 1 till he retires.
RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, has been cleared in-principle for disinvestment by way of 100 per cent privatisation by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on January 27.
