Deadline for bids to engage transaction advisor to sale RINL modified
Visakhapatnam Atul Bhatt, Chairman and Managing Director of MECON Ltd has been recommended by Public Enterprises Selection Board as the next CMD of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL).
The interview for the coveted post was held virtually on Friday. The post fell vacant following retirement of P.K. Rath.
Bhatt is a product of IIT-Delhi and IIM-Kolkata. He earlier served as Executive Director in NMDC and General Manager (Merger&Acquisition) in ArcelorMittal in UK.
At present, RINL Director (Personnel) K.C. Das is holding additional charge S the CMD.
The new CMD will have a crucial role to play in future as the Centre has taken a policy decision to privatise RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, its joint ventures and subsidiaries.
