A prominent US tech company's chief people officer has resigned following a viral video incident at a Coldplay concert. Kristin Cabot, formerly the Chief People Officer at Astronomer, is no longer with the company, the firm confirmed in a statement.

Cabot's departure comes just a week after Astronomer's CEO, Andy Byron, also resigned. Byron had been placed on leave and was under investigation after the video gained widespread attention. While the BBC has not independently verified the identities in the clip, US media identified the individuals as Cabot and Byron.

The video, which amassed millions of views across social media, showed a man and a woman embracing on a jumbo screen at a Coldplay concert before abruptly attempting to hide from the camera. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin humorously commented on the scene to the crowd, quipping, "Either they're having an affair, or they're just very shy."

The clip quickly spread, becoming a meme and even featuring on television programs. As online speculation intensified and fake statements circulated, Astronomer announced an investigation without directly referencing the video, placing its CEO on leave. The company confirmed Byron's resignation the following day.

Pete DeJoy, co-founder and chief product officer, has been appointed interim CEO of Astronomer, a company specializing in data, analytics, and artificial intelligence. DeJoy acknowledged the unprecedented media attention the company has received, stating that Astronomer "became a 'household' name almost overnight" and affirmed its commitment to its ongoing mission.
