Bengaluru: Tata Consultancy Services on Friday kickstarted the IT earning season with a sound set of numbers for both fourth quarter and FY24 on the back of strong deal pipeline, and growth in Europe and Indian markets.

The company also saw impressive improvement in its operating margin as its headcount fell for the third consecutive quarters.

For the fourth quarter ended March, TCS posted a net profit of Rs 12,434 crore, an increase of 9.1 per cent over the same period of last year. The Tata Group company’s revenue from operations increased 3.5 per cent to Rs 61,237 crore in Q4 year-on-year basis.

In dollar terms, revenue was $7.36 billion, which was a rise of 2.2 per cent in constant currency term over the previous year. In sequential term, the rise was 1.1 per cent in CC term.

During the quarter, the company had a record TCV (total contract value) of $13.2 billion, which was constituted of all size of deals including a mega one. For the whole fiscal, TCS posted a revenue of $29.08 billion, which was an increase of 3.4 per cent in constant currency term Y-o-Y basis.
