Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) organised a free eye camp in partnership with Sankar Foundation Eye Hospital, which drew an overwhelming response in Vandua village in Veeraghattam mandal of Parvathipuram Manyam district.

The initiative, part of HSL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme for 2025-26, was inaugurated by D Srinivasa Rao, General Manager & Chairman-CSR, HSL.

More than 250 villagers attended the camp, benefiting from free eye examinations. Addressing the gathering, Srreenivasa Rao announced HSL’s plan to support 200 eye surgeries and the distribution of 300 spectacles this year. The eye camp initiative aligns with the national program launched by

the Prime Minister in 2018 to uplift India’s aspirational districts. Through ongoing collaboration with Sankar Foundation, HSL is strengthening health

infrastructure and outreach in Parvathipuram Manyam district, demonstrating its dedication to social development and community welfare in underserved
