With India’s cancer burden projected to rise to 2.08 million cases by 2040 — a 57.5% increase from 2020 — the need for timely support, early
intervention, and reliable information has never been greater. Addressing this urgent need, Apollo Cancer Centres (ACC) has launched the country’s first dedicated 24x7 Cancer Care Helpline: 1800-203-1066.
The toll-free service offers a multi-faceted support platform, including personalised guidance, expert medical opinions, emotional counselling, and organ-specific navigation assistance for cancer patients and their families.
The helpline was officially inaugurated on Tuesday to make compassionate and expert-driven cancer care accessible to communities across India.
Dr. Rakesh Reddy Boya & Dr. Pradeep Ventrapati, said,“This is an important step towards building hope, support, and timely help for countless individuals and families. Access to information and care can save lives, and this service stands as a beacon of compassion and strength in the fight against cancer."
Dr Krishna Prasad, Chief Operating Officer, Apollo Cancer Centre, Visakhapatnam, said,“Every call to the helpline represents a moment of uncertainty, whether it’s a patient newly diagnosed or a family seeking direction.
