Medicover introduces MAKO robotic surgery

Medicover Hospitals, Secunderabad has strengthened its advanced orthopaedic care capabilities with the launch of a state-of-the-art robotic-assisted orthopaedic surgery system, marking a significant step towards precision-driven and patient-centric joint replacement treatments.

The advanced facility was formally inaugurated by Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar.

Sajjanar said the integration of robotic technology in healthcare reflects the evolving direction of modern medicine. “Robotic-assisted surgery enhances precision, improves safety, and enables faster recovery for patients. Such initiatives play a vital role in raising the overall standards of healthcare delivery,” he said.

The newly introduced system is based on the globally recognised MAKO Robotic System by Stryker, which is widely used across leading orthopaedic centres worldwide.
